Great Read Smrti! I am sure you had a great time back then. I visited Pondy to celebrate New Year last week and the trip was amazing. I would be visiting Pondy again as I missed few places. Thank you for the sharing the blog on the beautiful Pondicherry. As we know it is a Union Territory in southern India. The history of the City of Pondicherry is recorded only after the arrival of Dutch, Portuguese, British and French colonialists. There exists many places to visit in Pondicherry which still preserve much of the colonial ambiance. Pondicherry is surely one of the choicest holiday destinations in South India.

In reply to swathi bhatiya. Thanks Swathi. Surguru is a good and clean budget hotel, as I have said in the blog. I heard there are many Ashram guest houses that are economical with very good view. I could not get through, though.

This is a unique travelogue dedicated to exploring historical and cultural experiences. I love these stories featuring the historical, archaeological, mythological and cultural aspects of a destination.
I am little overwhelmed by how many ways you traveled, restaurants you ate at and tourist attractions you enjoyed.
I am from Kolkata and a travel buff. I went to Pondicherry some days ago (and also Mamallapuram) and stayed at Sri Aurobinda Ashram Guest house at the south end of Marine drive.
Now I recollect the memories after reading your writings. Thank you very much.
