Just repaired the technical errors of this site, and here I am back.
But very sorry to say that meanwhile I lost the post on Malayalee Arrogance and all the wonderful comments I got for that. Sorry friends.

Today morning, a friend of mine told me about her difficulty to make the biblio entries for research dissertation. If you use MS Word or other non-academic documentation programes, it is a laborious process. Probably those use LaTEX etc. may not feel it so difficult. I thought if there are others who feel the same, I should tell them all this one.

There is this wonderful project called Citation Machine. There you can just give the data like author, title, publication house etc., and they give the citation both for the text as well as bibliography.

Go to their website here, and click if you want MLA (Humanities) or APA (Social Sciences) style.
Click on the type of citation wanted, i.e, Book or Journal Article etc.
Complete the Web form that appears and click “Make Citations”.
Just copy paste that into your document and make the formatting changes, i.e, if you want italicized title rather than the underlined one they give etc. etc.

Hope this is helpful to those in the process of academic writing.
The only problem would be that you have to remain online through out.
